About Samantha Gardner, DNP, APRN-CNP

Samantha Gardner, DNP, APRN-CNP, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Pediatric Practitioners of Oklahoma in Claremore, Oklahoma. 

Samantha graduated with her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee in 2011. She worked as a pediatric nurse in several areas, including the surgical floor and emergency department. In 2015, she graduated from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, with a Master of Science in nursing with a concentration as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner. 

Samantha completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Duke University in 2017. She completed her doctoral project about educating those who work or volunteer with children on recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect. Her project was published in 2018. 

In 2018, Samantha and her husband moved to the greater Tulsa area, and she joined Pediatric Practitioners of Oklahoma. Samantha can frequently be found spending her time assisting children who are victims of child abuse or neglect. She says her favorite part of working with kids is their resiliency. 

When not providing medical care to children, Samantha enjoys spending time with her husband and two little boys. She loves to snow ski and is an avid football and Olympic fan with her favorite teams being the Oklahoma Sooners, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Team USA.
